Premium Freeze-Dried Strawberry for Food Manufacturing & Export

Freeze-Dried Strawberry is made from ripe strawberries using low-temperature vacuum freeze-drying, which removes water through sublimation instead of heat. The result keeps the strawberry's shape, bright red colour and sweet-tangy flavour, with a light, crisp bite and fast rehydration.

Key Features

  • Vacuum freeze-dried at low temperature to preserve near-fresh colour, aroma and flavour
  • Ultra-low moisture (max 3%) with a light, crisp texture
  • Rehydrates quickly, close to its original texture and flavour
  • Available as Halves / Slices / Powder
  • No added sugar or preservatives in the standard grade
  • Custom cuts, mesh sizes and packing on request

Applications

Freeze-Dried Strawberry is used in breakfast cereals and muesli, bakery and chocolate inclusions, yoghurt and dessert toppings, smoothie and protein powders, ice cream, tea blends and beverage mixes.

Sourcing

In season (roughly December to April) we source strawberries from growers in India, mainly Maharashtra. Outside the Indian season, or for larger volumes, Frzex imports frozen strawberries from established growing regions, freeze-dries and packs them in India, and re-exports them. The country of origin of each lot is declared on its Certificate of Analysis and shipping documents, following the destination's rules of origin.

Export & Customization

We offer bulk export supply, private label packaging, customized specifications and flexible packaging solutions to meet international buyer requirements.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place in moisture-proof, airtight packaging away from direct sunlight. Freeze-dried products are highly hygroscopic and reabsorb moisture quickly once opened, so reseal tightly between uses.

Frequently Asked Questions about Freeze-Dried Strawberry

What forms of freeze-dried strawberry does Frzex supply?

Frzex supplies freeze-dried strawberry as halves, slices (about 15–30 mm) and fine powder. Pieces keep their bright red colour and natural shape; the powder gives strong strawberry colour and flavour. We can also supply custom cuts or mesh sizes on request.

What is freeze-dried strawberry used for?

Food manufacturers use freeze-dried strawberries in breakfast cereals and muesli, bakery and chocolate inclusions, yoghurt and dessert toppings, smoothie and protein powders, ice cream, tea blends and beverage mixes. The powder is popular as a natural colouring and flavouring ingredient.

Where does Frzex source its strawberries?

In the Indian season (roughly December to April) Frzex sources strawberries from Indian growers, mainly in Maharashtra. Outside the season, Frzex imports frozen strawberries, freeze-dries and packs them in India, and re-exports them. The country of origin of each lot is declared on its Certificate of Analysis and shipping documents, following the destination's rules of origin.

What is the difference between freeze-dried and dehydrated strawberries?

Freeze-drying removes water at low temperature, so strawberries keep their shape, bright colour and fresh flavour and become light and crunchy. Heat-dehydrated strawberries shrink and turn chewy and darker. Freeze-dried strawberries also rehydrate much faster in milk, yoghurt or water.

What is the moisture content and shelf life of freeze-dried strawberry?

Frzex freeze-dried strawberry is dried to a maximum moisture of 3%. In sealed foil-laminated packaging, stored cool and dry, it has a typical shelf life of 12 to 24 months. It absorbs moisture quickly once opened, so reseal packs tightly.

What is the HS code for freeze-dried strawberry?

Freeze-dried strawberry pieces are generally classified under HS 0813.40 (dried fruit, other), and strawberry powder under HS 1106.30 (flour and powder of fruit). Importers should confirm the full national tariff line with their customs broker.

Can I get a sample of freeze-dried strawberry before ordering in bulk?

Yes. You can request a sample through the Frzex Samples page. Our team confirms the form, quantity and dispatch details with you, so you can test the product in your own application before placing a bulk FCL or LCL order.

Packaging & Container Loading for Freeze-Dried Strawberry
